The scientific supervisor of the department ASOIU is Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, dean of Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, winner of the award named after Glushkov of NAS of Ukraine in the field of informatics Pavlov Olexandr.

The Department of Department of Computer-aided management and data processing systems (ASOIU) is one of the leading departments of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, which has many years of experience in the training of qualified specialists in computerized data processing and management systems, the introduction of modern information technology in various branches of science, industry and business, as well as software development and testing specialists. Till 2017 the department provides training of specialists in the following specialties: 121 “Software Engineering” and 126 “Information Systems and Technology”.
The department has the branch at the V. M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which was established in accordance with Agreement about common participation in scientific and educational activities between educational-scientific complex of the “Informatics and management Center” of NTUU “KPI, one of subdivisions of which is the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science, and the V. M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the NAS of Ukraine. The main task of the branch is coordination of works aiming for using of scientific and pedagogical potential of V. M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics for training specialists and masters according department’s curriculum.
